Association for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the NHS
The APP seeks to advance the practise of psychoanalytic psychotherapy in the National Health Service and other Public Services by helping to co-ordinate activities and educational facilities for psychoanalytic psychotherapists working in the NHS and other Public Services. The APP website provides information on specialist sections which address the particular concerns of psychoanalytic psychotherapists working in diverse settings within the public services.
British Confederation of Psychotherapists (BCP)
The BCP is a national body linking mostly long-standing training and professional organisations in the field of psychoanalysis, analytical psychology, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, and child psychotherapy. This website includes information on member societies, training, and events and conferences.
British Association of Psychotherapists
Specialising in individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy for adults, adolescents and children, the BAP, founded in 1951, brings together psychotherapists with different theoretical traditions, offering intensive clinical work and professional trainings in both Jungian Analytic and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
International Psychoanalytical Association
This UK-based association works in partnership with its component organizations to train, support and network psychoanalysts, developing clinical, educational and research programmes. In addition the IPA organizes conferences and congresses, fosters the creation of new psychoanalytical groups, and functions as a focus for information on all aspects of professional psychoanalytic life. The website includes information on news and events.
European Psychoanalytical Federation
To promote scientific exchange in Europe, the EPF organizes many scientific conferences on varied subjects, either open to a wide circle of colleagues (conferences) or to which the Societies each send two delegates (colloquia). This website includes online articles and a discussion forum.
European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector
This European umbrella organisation links together national networks of adult, child and adolescent and group psychoanalytic psychotherapists. The EFPP website contains conference information, as well as news and book reviews.
International Association for the History of Psychoanalysis
France-based website which offers a forum, as well as useful regional and international links.
The International Journal of Psychoanalysis
The International Journal of Psychoanalysis is a fully peer reviewed journal published six times a year.

Website for the Swiss Society of Psychoanalysis, which offers information in German or French.

Offers information in German and English on news, publications and events.

The Freud Museum, at 20 Maresfield Gardens in Hampstead, was the home of Sigmund Freud and his family when they escaped Nazi annexation of Austria in 1938. It remained the family home until Anna Freud, the youngest daughter, died in 1982. The centrepiece of the museum is Freud's library and study, preserved just as it was during his lifetime.
Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists and Allied Professionals
The TSP was established in 1995 and has over 500 members. It includes professionals specifically trained in adult psychotherapy, child and adolescent psychotherapy, child and adolescent psychiatry and systemic and family psychotherapy as well as other trained professionals who have completed an appropriate psychodynamic or systemic public sector related training programme. The great majority of TSP members contribute to the development of mental health services in the NHS and the public sector.

The Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust has a worldwide reputation for therapeutic approaches in mental health in the public sector.
London Centre for Psychotherapy
The London Centre for Psychotherapy offers a professional training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy in which students are encouraged to engage with the essential questions of psychoanalytic theory and practice openly and critically.
